This journal aims to research the development of Santri Softskills through the Creative Economy at the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Lumajang. This research explores the development of students' soft skills at the Darul Ulum Islamic Boarding School using a field approach. Data was obtained by interviewing informants such as boarding school leaders, teachers and students. Darul Ulum Lumajang Islamic Boarding School strategically integrates creative economic empowerment into its curriculum, which aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit among students. This involves a flexible learning program, involving a variety of entrepreneurial activities such as cooperatives, sewing, embroidery and handicrafts. Leadership plays a critical role, providing unwavering support and direct involvement in managing creative initiatives. The environment fosters appreciation of students' potential, creating an effective platform for them to explore and implement creative economic endeavors. Factors that contribute to the success of this program include strong leadership, an empowering environment, and active alumni involvement, mentoring and supporting students in marketing and production.
Despite challenges such as lack of interest in training and increasing competition, Islamic boarding schools aim to overcome these obstacles through a strong mental attitude, seeking divine guidance, and facing challenges with courage. Through this strategy, the Darul Ulum Lumajang Islamic Boarding School seeks to empower students with various skills, foster entrepreneurship and creativity
